Uploading files for visitor download
Get your presentations, PDF files, newsletters etc on your site... or allow customers to download files. Here is how the content management system does all this for you.
Before you can add a file to one of your pages for users to download, you need to add it to the content management system's library. You can see a list of files in the library by clicking on
List files in the File library. This shows the type of file and size. Please note, there are limits on the size of file you can upload (default is around 2Mb). Accentika Internet, Worcester, can increase this for you. But please have some consideration for
visitors who might not have a superfast internet connection, and optimise your files (usually by down-sampling graphics) for the web first!
Click on add to add a new file. You will see the following dialogue...
Fill in the title and description, and select type of file if it is shown (leave blank if it isn't) and use the Browse button to navigate to the file on your local machine. Click submit
to upload the file -- and wait while the content management system uploads it. You will then see it in the library and it is ready for use on your page.
